Tip Bucket Blues Values

Tip Bucket Blues is a genre of Blues defined by Fast Jimmy, whose real name is James R. Hale II, known also as Jim Hale, by his family and old friends as Jimmy Hale, and by his Willamette Valley relatives as JimBob. I could of called it East County Blues, but I think the Sonny Hess Band w/Rae Gordon deserves that name, from when Sonny would play at the M&M on Main Street Gresham with Paulette Davis, the band being called Paulette and Power.

Let's see, an example of Tip Bucket Blues Values. Washington State's work at cleaning up Hanford. Well, the whole Institute of Biological Chemistry is Tip Bucket Blues Values. The Oregon State University Herbarium has Tip Bucket Blues Values. The Oregon State University Venture Fund is perhaps the best example of Tip Bucket Blues Values I know of. PSU Westside is a good example of Tip Bucket Blues Values, I think. It's been a while since I graduated from PSU. I'm going to have to go down there and check them out. Give them the once over. I know how people feel about lawyers. Maybe it's warranted but I know the U of O Law School is very well respected. So is the School of Architecture. All I know is that my mother got her Masters Degree in Education from the U of O. My father got his Doctorate from OSU. That could of made the Civil War interesting, but everything was copacetic. Everything was Tip Bucket Blues Values.

What's my personal experience with Tip Bucket Blues Values? Two benefits at the Aladdin Theater for Mercy Corps (Be The Change...). One in '99, called The Hurricane Mitch Blues, starring Tommy Castro. The second one in '01 co-starred Robbie Laws (who owns Six String Central with his wife Jeri) and Dan Balmer, and also had the
Second Wind Jazz Ensemble on the bill. I also did a Benefit Jam for Raful Neal. Kenny came to that Jam. Here's some pictures from that night. Then I hired Kenny to do a Cascade Blues Assocation Blues-In-The-Schools benefit at the Aladdin in '04. It's weird, I don't seem to have any pictures from that night. I did get the CBA's "Back What You Believe In" Muddy Award for that and other BITS work.

I think I could be jutifiably accused of bragging on this page. That is not Tip Bucket Blues Values. So I'll stop here. I'll just let my record from here on out speak for itself. Fast Jimmy here, over and out.
