The Mystic on Donald Trump

(note: the Mystic of Cascadia is a title given to a mystic much like the way the Dali Lama is named. The Order of Mystics picks a group of acolytes to be brought to the Temple of Being, where they are given tests on and taught the characteristics a Mystic of Cascadia must have. Eventually one acolyte is chosen as the next Mystic of Cascadia and from that point on is trained in all the ways necessary to perform the duties that comes with its title.)

I = Interviewer.

M = The Mystic of Cascadia.

I : Are you permitted to comment on contemporary politics? For example, can you give an opinion on Donald Trump.

M : there’s no law or rule that says I can’t comment on politics. As far as Trump is concerned, on a personal level he’s evil incarnate. He’s probably the quintessential narcissist. All of his actions and thoughts a derived from the love he has for himself. I’ve never seen anybody more in love with himself than Donald Trump.

The basic problem is if you give a narcissist like Trump power he will do every thing he can to use that power to push for all things to benefit himself. He will also be vindictive against anybody who interferes with his efforts.

I : What would you recommend people do about his efforts to become president?

M : He needs to be opposed on all possible fronts. Pick the way that suits you the best and put everything you have into it because if he gets elected it will take a long, long time to repair the damage to democracy he will inflict.

I : Do you have any specific advice you could give?

M : Find your friends, family, or acquaintances who are on the fence and help walk them through the areas they have misconceptions on. Try to get them to see the truth, although this can be next to impossible if somebody has really drank the cool aide. Oh, and donate as much money as you can afford to Biden. Unfortunately a lot of this comes down to who can do the most effective TV ads, and that takes money.

I : Anything else you’d like to add?

M : Make no mistake, Donald Trump is evil incarnate. He has no compunction over causing others to suffer if he feels it’s in his interests. Such a person has to be put in the proper place to make it harder for them to hurt others. The presidency is probably the worst place he could be.

Dark Empath

It is well known that the Mystic of Cascadia is a Dark Empath, define as:

Add these abilities to those of a mystic:

Then add these abilities to those of a wizard:

Taken all together the sum of all these abilities is greater than the sum of the individual traits. This explains why the Mystic of Cascadia is such a unique actor in the course of history.

The Death of the World

Some have wondered. Others have known. The death of the world was upon them.

At the heart of the crisis was the dependency on fossil fuels. Having been used up, and sufficient alternat5ives not having been found, the world was of the precipice of going dark.

Jarvic was a wizard from the southern hemisphere. His power was unparalleled in the world. It was said of him that he could raise the dead, or just a easily cause death. He, however, was keen on doing neither. His greatest joy was healing the sick. He could cure those others couldn’t, but he explained there were some sicknesses and injuries which could not be treated. The royal court tried to monopolize his healing, but he refused to heal under those conditions.

Jarvic’s best friend was Falcao, the Mystic of Cascadia. He also enjoys healing abocew all other activities. Many say his Power was actually greater than Jarvic’s, bu he denied it. As far as I know this has never been tested. I say the Mystic’s ability to Transport clearly shows he is more powerful, bu the Mystic claims raising the dead takes more power. I guess we will never know one way or other.

Where Jarvic and Falcao were clearly on par was in the ability to wage war. This is something they would only do if there was no alternative. Unfortunately for their enemies, this was often the case.

Flying With the Angels

I = Interviewer.

M = The Mystic of Cascadia.

I : Have you ever thought about coming back to this Universe as a fire breathing dragon?

M : I’ve done it many times. Mostly I fly over the poles so that I don’t get seen, but one time I flew over Portland Oregon and got spotted by the Blue Angels. It got reported as a UFO, but I flew maneuvers with those guys/gals and at the end I left them in the dust. In the middle of the night I flew up the Columbia River Gorge, leaving a rooster tail a 100 feet high. Scarred the shit out of some fishermen.

One of these days I’ll pick you up and take you for a ride. I can guarantee it will be the wildest ride of your life!!!!

The Early Morning Grind

I = Interviewer.

M = The Mystic of Cascadia.

I : Let’s talk about something mundane…. how about your morning routine?

M : I have an early morning routine…. it’s kind of a grind at this point, but it gets me going for the day. I have certain things I have to take care of, like watering the plants and scooping the cat liter boxes. For this task I have books sitting through out the house that I read at least a paragraph out of, hopefully as much as a page. This is enough to keep what’s going on in the book loafed in my brain. Even though it’s a grind I love my early morning routine, and wish I could do it more consistently.

The Moment of Truth

I = Interviewer.

M = The Mystic of Cascadia.

I : When did you decide to put your name down as the author of the Mystic’s Manifesto?

M : I had a moment of Truth when the elders of the Order sat me down and asked me if it made any sense to list anybody but me as the author. I objected strenuously, saying that it would make much more sense to list the Order, that way all it’s members could be ambassadors of the message in the Manifesto. They asked, “how can any member of the order be an ambassador when none of them have had the lived experiences the manifesto is based on. “You are the only one who’s had these experiences, ” they said. “Only you have the breadth of knowledge to be able to answer any question someone might have.”

There it was. The moment of Truth. I’d put so much of myself info the manifesto, only I could represent it. So I was stuck. I’d sealed my fate when I wrote the manifesto from my Heart and Soul.

I : Given this is the case, what are you going to do next?

M : We’ll be taking a seminar on the manifesto on a world tour. It’s kind of like a global book tour, only the reading is followed by two days of intense discussion on what had been presented in the reading. It will be intense. There will be quizzes on the material covered. The goal is to have all participants pass the final quiz which will cover the whole manifesto. We’ve done enough trial seminars to know this goal is achievable. It will leave manifesto experts in all the major cities of the world. An extremely high goal, but one that the manifesto itself demands.

I : How will you be involved in the tour?

M : I will be doing the reading and the leading of the seminars. Again there really isn’t anybody who can do the kind of job I can do. Another moment of Truth for me that seals my fate.

I : You must feel quite a weight of responsibility around this tour. Do you feel your being made responsible for the seminars reaching the goals you’ve set for them?

M : Well, I wouldn’t put it that way. Remember the manifesto is really a definition of what a Mystic must do to follow the Way. This is the Path the Way has laid out for me.

Favorite Transporting Experience

I = Interviewer.

M = The Mystic of Cascadia.

I : What is the most fun you’ve had transporting?

M : That’s an easy one. I often transport to a Universe where fire breathing dragons fly in the sky. I transport myself as a dragon, and just the experience of flying is enough to make it my favorite. I have had some altercations with other dragons and humans, but nothing too terrible has happened.

One time I transported into an area where humans hunted dragons for fun. One of my most favorite experiences as a dragon was fucking with these humans, burning them, their towns, their fields. I’ve taught them not to fuck with dragons because you never know when you’ll piss off a particularly nasty dragon like I can be when angered.

And of course aerial matting is also a high point. Rising to tens of thousands of feet high, then coupling and free falling during the love making. Hard to top that experience.

But probably my favorite experience was volunteering for an army that was trying to protect it’s people from a murderous tyrant. Lighting up the tyrants army, lighting up the tyrant himself, was just crazy fun. Of course afterwards comes the remorse for killing those dragged into the war against their will. But you can’t fight an evil tyrant without some innocent people getting hurt or killed. It’s just a guilt you have to learn to live with.

I : Think you could take me to this Universe sometime?

M : I could but I won’t. I doubt if you went there, and once you’ve been a dragon, you would never come back.

The Mystic Manifesto

Written by The Mystic of Cascadia, Falcao

The life blood on the Mystic is kindness. Kindness guides everything he/she does. Love for all is her/his guiding principle in all things. No one can claim to be a Mystic who doesn’t let Kindness and Love dictate all that they do.

The guiding principles for the Mystic are based on the Wisdom of No Escape and the Path of Loving Kindness. The Tonglen meditation is the main technique used to determine ones behavior. Taking and Giving are the guiding methods that allow the Mystic to determine their behavior. Take the bad and give the good describes the actions that are taken. No one following r these principles can deny Kindness and Love as Lighthouse for Human Being.

Interview With The Mystic of Cascadia

I = Interviewer.

M = The Mystic of Cascadia.

I : You follow teachings that have existed for thousands of years. Have you learned anything from current times that you would include with these teachings?

M : Yes, there is one thing I’ve added that has become quite important to what I teach. It is The Wisdom of No Escape, and the Path of Loving Kindness as taught by Pema Chodren. The most important component is the meditation Tonglen. It is a vehicle with which a profound understanding of ones self and others can be obtained. It’s not an easy path to follow, but gives deep meaning to life, something well worth the effort involved.

I : Tell us about this mediation Tonglen?

M : It’s a breathing meditation which reverses the usual roles of the in and out breath. Normally you breathe in the good, and breathe out the bad. In Tonglen, we breathe in the bad, and breathe out the good. Obviously that is an over simplification, but it is the essence of it.

The basic idea is to breathe in the bad such as pain and suffering, and breathe out the good such a joy and happiness. Another example is breathing in confusion and breathing out understanding. You can adjust the scope if the meditation to suit your needs. For example you can use just yourself as the one breathing in pain, and out happiness. You can use just another person as the target. Or it could be a family, the residents of a city, a country, all the way. to everyone on the planet. Adjusting the scope impact the level of openness one experiences

I. : So what is the big take away from doing Tonglen?

M : There is no big take away. There are as many take away’s as there are people practicing their meditation. The take away’s are in the details of our personal history.

I : If there are no big take away’s, how are people going to know it’s worth while to learn how to do Tonglen.

M : You just have to practice the meditation and experience what it can bring to your life. For example, I have a friend who is suffering from depression. With them, I would breathe in their pain and suffering, and breathe out joy and happiness to them. This experience will make me feel different about my friend than if I’d never done the mediation. I would now feel a loving kindness for them to a degree that didn’t exist before. Does this make sense?

I : Yes. It tells me I’m going to have to try Tonglen and see how it changes me.

M : That’s exactly right.
